Kingdom of God

Hey Everybody!

Thank you so much for supporting us with your prayers and many other blessings! Lindsey and I are praying about doing full time missions. We are not really sure what that will look like, so we are asking you to be praying with us!

One thing the Lord has been placing on Lindsey and my heart is the kingdom of God. What does that look like? What exactly is his kingdom? These are questions we were facing on our faith journey.

We have been realizing that one of God's eternal purpose is bringing his kingdom here to this earth. This is God's desire for his people and he also has open doors for others to come into the kingdom. We have been catching God's heart and plans for his people, for his bride. The kingdom of God is not of this world. Its way more beautiful, full of peace and joy. It is fullfilling to the deepest core desire of a man's heart. God's kingdom looks like communitry, a place to share the life of Jesus Christ with one another. To submit to each other out of reverence for Christ. To be a servant and willing to help a brother out through acts of kindness, encouragement, and labor. By being there at all times considering the circumstances. It is a kingdom under the headship of Jesus Christ, where you and I were bought with a price by the blood of Jesus Christ by his one time sacrifice on the cross. The kingdom of God is a place of drawing the people of God together to live the life as a body working together as one. When this kingdom is spread, people are set free from the systems of this world. It is a beautiful kingdom!

These are a few things the lord has had on our hearts.

Blessings in the name of Jesus!

God is truly AWESOME!

Hey everyone!

it's another beautiful day here in Orlando! We had class this morning and it was sooo rich. Al taught on the difference between a legal relationship with God than a intimate relationship.. How do we respond to God? Based on rewards and punishments? Do you base Christianity only on the reward heaven or the punishment of hell? These ways are not necessarily wrong, but i believe its a little more deep than just rewards or punishments.. and i don't think its just about heaven or hell..

God desires intimacy in a relationship, not a relationship based on fear.

That's just 1% of what we are learning about this week's teaching (The character and nature of God)

Its been great so far!

OH by the way today I reached in my jacket pocket and found 25$!!!!!

I have still no clue who gave us the $300 and now $25 more! haha God is truely awesome! He is so faithful to provide he is just simply good.

I also forgot to tell you about our friend Walter!...

about 3 weeks ago as we walked around lake
Eola, downtown Orlando.. as we strolled along I noticed the squirrels would come to you on command, just like a dog! hahaha as i bent down to touch the squirrel's little head a man walked up to us and said "they think you have bread." I stood to see a kind face of a man, it was obvious that he was homeless. See him with his backpack and sweat soaked shirt, skin browned from the sun, he smiled humbly. I said "Hi".. my name is Lindsey and this is my husband Patrick, with my hand out, he timidly took a hold of it and said hey, I'm Walter..

We chatted a while talking about the friendly squirrels and life here in Orlando, we asked where he was from, and he told us his story of how he was from Bradington Florida and he lost his job and got his car towed and it was hard for him to get a job.. so he hikes around to different places looking for work, he has a tent, and camps out at a camp ground and lives off the land. He kept our attention with his stories of traveling.. He usually waits around the lake because different churches feed the homeless and he had missed them by 20 minuets! So we offered to buy him a sandwich and a drink.. and he took up the offer! we chilled with Walter for a while. As he drank his gator aid and told us more about his life.. after a while he had to get back to his resting place, because it took about two hours for him to hike there he wanted to make it back before dark. Walter, i asked may we pray for you to get a job?

He said Yes! please. As we placed our hands on Walter's back he took off his hat. I asked God to provide a job for Walter and bless him along the way. We got Walter's number and said our goodbyes. Around two weeks later we went to the farmer's market to see the different arts and crafts they had for sale, on our way to our car we passed the place we met Walter, i said out loud to Patrick, i wonder how Walter is..... i wonder if he got a job.. wouldn't that be awesome! Patrick smiled and agreed! yes it would. As we went to look over the bank of the lake not even a minuet later Walter walked right in front of us. WALTER! wow we were just talking about you i said excitedly!! With a hug he said "the devil has been after me today because i went to church.. " he explained how on his way to church the bus took him to the opposite side of town than where his church was, and he missed breakfast.. with a cookie in hand he said "i got me some cookies though." (haha) Then we asked did you get a job? He looked at us and said yes i did! a job remodeling a house in Bradington, Fl! its a 3 month job, so that's good. He received an email from a friend telling him about the job and he explained to the man, that he didn't have any tools, the man replied just bring your skills i have the tools! I began to praise God! We didn't get to see Walter before he left. He left yesterday morning, a church provided bus fares for him! This story blessed me so much so i thought i would share IT WITH YOU! here is our pic of us! Thanks for reading!

Love you guys!

Otterson Fees - love Jesus

Good day to ya! Its another hot day here in Orlando! We have one month until outreach and we are being prepared for everything to come. Our Teacher this week is awesome! His name is Al very intresting man, he knows the word pretty intensely! During our time we get to enjoy a different teacher each week, and this week Al is teaching about God and his nature. Last week Mary and she taught us and wow our team really love her. She taught on "The 7 mighty nations." Basically the journey from Egypt to the promise land and how this amazing story from Deuteronomy applies to us today! Very enlightening! As we approach the end of our training we realize what a huge work God has done in Patrick and I. We enjoy the tightnit community we experience here! its awesome. ANYWAYS back to what happened today!! so right before class began, Patrick found an envelope tucked away in his notebook, he looked at me puzzled, as he held it closer to me. I realized it was a bank envelope, with small neatly written words "otterson fees Love Jesus" Patrick quickly opened the envelope to find $300 WOW! I had just thanked God this morning for provision for our trip! (: We felt so much love and excitement. We looked around trying to figure out who might have slipped this into Patrick's note book, but we still have no clue. Patrick said he was just randomly looking through his note book and dicovered the mystery money, he was wondering how long it might have been there... Who knows! Maybe God put it there himself! Thanks be to God! haha!

we Love u guys! thanks for reading today!

in Christ alone!
