God is truly AWESOME!

Hey everyone!

it's another beautiful day here in Orlando! We had class this morning and it was sooo rich. Al taught on the difference between a legal relationship with God than a intimate relationship.. How do we respond to God? Based on rewards and punishments? Do you base Christianity only on the reward heaven or the punishment of hell? These ways are not necessarily wrong, but i believe its a little more deep than just rewards or punishments.. and i don't think its just about heaven or hell..

God desires intimacy in a relationship, not a relationship based on fear.

That's just 1% of what we are learning about this week's teaching (The character and nature of God)

Its been great so far!

OH by the way today I reached in my jacket pocket and found 25$!!!!!

I have still no clue who gave us the $300 and now $25 more! haha God is truely awesome! He is so faithful to provide he is just simply good.

I also forgot to tell you about our friend Walter!...

about 3 weeks ago as we walked around lake
Eola, downtown Orlando.. as we strolled along I noticed the squirrels would come to you on command, just like a dog! hahaha as i bent down to touch the squirrel's little head a man walked up to us and said "they think you have bread." I stood to see a kind face of a man, it was obvious that he was homeless. See him with his backpack and sweat soaked shirt, skin browned from the sun, he smiled humbly. I said "Hi".. my name is Lindsey and this is my husband Patrick, with my hand out, he timidly took a hold of it and said hey, I'm Walter..

We chatted a while talking about the friendly squirrels and life here in Orlando, we asked where he was from, and he told us his story of how he was from Bradington Florida and he lost his job and got his car towed and it was hard for him to get a job.. so he hikes around to different places looking for work, he has a tent, and camps out at a camp ground and lives off the land. He kept our attention with his stories of traveling.. He usually waits around the lake because different churches feed the homeless and he had missed them by 20 minuets! So we offered to buy him a sandwich and a drink.. and he took up the offer! we chilled with Walter for a while. As he drank his gator aid and told us more about his life.. after a while he had to get back to his resting place, because it took about two hours for him to hike there he wanted to make it back before dark. Walter, i asked may we pray for you to get a job?

He said Yes! please. As we placed our hands on Walter's back he took off his hat. I asked God to provide a job for Walter and bless him along the way. We got Walter's number and said our goodbyes. Around two weeks later we went to the farmer's market to see the different arts and crafts they had for sale, on our way to our car we passed the place we met Walter, i said out loud to Patrick, i wonder how Walter is..... i wonder if he got a job.. wouldn't that be awesome! Patrick smiled and agreed! yes it would. As we went to look over the bank of the lake not even a minuet later Walter walked right in front of us. WALTER! wow we were just talking about you i said excitedly!! With a hug he said "the devil has been after me today because i went to church.. " he explained how on his way to church the bus took him to the opposite side of town than where his church was, and he missed breakfast.. with a cookie in hand he said "i got me some cookies though." (haha) Then we asked did you get a job? He looked at us and said yes i did! a job remodeling a house in Bradington, Fl! its a 3 month job, so that's good. He received an email from a friend telling him about the job and he explained to the man, that he didn't have any tools, the man replied just bring your skills i have the tools! I began to praise God! We didn't get to see Walter before he left. He left yesterday morning, a church provided bus fares for him! This story blessed me so much so i thought i would share IT WITH YOU! here is our pic of us! Thanks for reading!

Love you guys!
